Helping Businesses develop and grow!

GREDA operates a 120,000 square foot industrial business incubator called the Galesburg Business Incubator. This industrial building was formerly used as a die-cast shop and later was a plastics plant. It was sitting idle when GREDA began operating it as a business incubator in 2004. Now, it is home to a start-up industrial screen manufacturer and a commercial lawnmower manufacturer. The low-cost and flexible leasing options allow companies to focus on growing their customer base and revenues without worrying about property management as well.

Expanding or relocating companies can use this rail-served building’s furnished office space and fenced storage areas for a few weeks or multiple years. This flexibility gives Galesburg a distinct advantage for companies who need more space in a very short time.

Carl Sandburg College also operates a small business incubator called the Business Technology Center. Located in the Center for Manufacturing Excellence building, the Business Technology Center has a long-term tenant, J&M Controls, and was recently selected by Ford Motor Company as a Midwest technician training center. Like the Galesburg Business Incubator, this facility offers office space and secure bays for inventory, materials and equipment. The Business Technology Center is designed to help emerging businesses with only a few employees make the transition into a nearly new facility. It too has flexible leasing options to keep costs low for growing enterprise.
